You ever feel like you have more than one side/talent that you could use but it never gets out? Right now I feel like I could be an interior designer and help others design their homes to make it more comfortable to live in. I love designing and I feel like I haven’t been able to use that skill that I have. I also feel like I could be a great host or party planner but I haven’t used that skill either. It makes me feel like I’m missing something. That I’m not reaching mt full potential. I’m not sure if I ever will if I think about it this way. Maybe the time will come later in life when I have kids and can design their rooms and throw them birthday parties. I have the rest of my life to work towards those skills and maybe then I can work at them and make them into more than what they are right now.

Don’t get me wrong, I love doing my pottery and want to be an achieved potter, but there is so much more I know I can do. I think life will open up later on and I will be able to use those skills. Heck, I have a college dorm I can design next semester, that’s a start right! I will probably change that room around like four or five times during the duration of the year. Unless I keep too busy with my pottery senior exhibition stuff.

One thing I would love to work on is getting organized and get rid of stuff I don’t use anymore. I always feel like I want to get rid of stuff but so much of it has memories to me that it is not easy to part with. I realize that makes me a little materialistic but I hope I can get over more of that as time goes on.

So it is the end of my Junior Fall Semester and the stress piles up! I know I can get everything done, but there is no motivation to. I have a presentation to give, 2 papers to write, 1 self-portrait, 1 painting assignment, and I believe 4 test/exams before I am done. I have 6 days left not including the one weekend left. I am just ready for it all to be over and be on Christmas break to get away from school. I know it will get better as days get knocked out, but I’m not there yet.

I also can’t wait for break because then I get to cook my own food instead of going to the caf for food. I want to make all kinds of stuff I got ideas from Pinterest!

Potato Pancakes

Baked Monte Cristo Sandwiches

Loaded Potato Soup

Pretzel Bites

These are all on my food board, check them out!

Those are just a few of the ones I really want to make. It will be nice to get back in the kitchen and cook for my boyfriend and I and also my family. I hope to have a great Christmas. I would love to throw a party but money is tight so we will see.

What are your holiday plans and what are some new foods that you will try soon?

About a week back some of the leaves were already falling, not much color change has happen yet but heck today is the first day of Fall so it will happen soon! The cool weather has already been moving through a little at a time. I love Fall. I love living in the mountains and being able to take it all in while walking to classes. I would love to curl up next to a fireplace with some yummy hot chocolate or warm apple cider and cuddle while reading a great book. I love looking at all the pictures from Pinterest that are the Fall landscapes and leaves. It has pumped me up for this Fall. I also have a festival next Saturday that I’m very excited about. I will be setting up my booth and sell my pottery and some paintings and other crafts that my mom and I have worked on. Last year was a great Autumn day and I hope this year will be the same so we will have a great turn out.

I hope everyone gets to enjoy Fall and take some great picture of their kids in the leaves or as a couple. Carve some pumpkins, try some new recipes, go for a nice walk. Just take in the fresh air and remember to slow down sometimes.

My goal this Autumn is to get some great photos for myself and maybe get a hike in there at Craggy Gardens here in North Carolina on the Blue Ridge Parkway with my love. As well as some great couple pictures of us!
